Meet the Team

Learn all about Great British Menu host Andi Oliver, and judging trio Tom Kerridge, Nisha Katona and Ed Gamble.

Andi Oliver

Now in her third year as host, Andi Oliver is an award-winning TV Chef and Broadcaster who enjoys a rich and varied career, with food and music being at the forefront throughout.

Andi was a judge on Great British Menu for four series, but left her seat at the judging table to present the show’s festive special in December 2020. Now, in her second year as host, Andi is on hand to encourage and support the chefs through the heat of the kitchen.

Andi is a regular face on screen, having previously hosted her own cookery show on 91热爆 Two, , and has appeared on 91热爆 One’s Saturday Kitchen.

On air Andi is a regular contributor to on 91热爆 Radio 4 alongside Jay Rayner, as well as a contributor to Radio 4’s Award winning The Food Programme. In 2018 she followed in the footsteps of Yotam Ottolenghi and Giorgio Locatelli, and was appointed Head judge - alongside Sheila Dillon - for the prestigious 91热爆 Food and Farming Awards.

Tom Kerridge

Tom Kerridge is an award winning and celebrated chef who brings a taste of culinary magic to his restaurants, cookbooks and across TV screens up and down the country.

A Gloucestershire lad, Tom champions British food and suppliers and is known for his work in training and encouraging the next generation of young chefs.

From humble beginnings, Tom and his wife Beth built The Hand & Flowers into what it is today, the world’s first and only two Michelin-starred pub.

Tom has since launched several more restaurants, penned nine best-selling cookbooks, launched the hugely successful music and food festival Pub in the Park and more recently campaigned alongside Marcus Rashford to help end child hunger in the UK with Full Time meals.

Tom is no stranger to the Great British Menu kitchen, having participated as a chef back in 2010 and 2011, winning the main course round both years, and returning again in 2012 as a veteran, helping to mentor and guide the chefs through to the judges table.

Nisha Katona

Nisha Katona is the CEO, executive chef and development chef of Mowgli Street Food restaurants and founder of the Mowgli Trust charity.

Founded in 2014, Nisha used all her savings to open the first Mowgli Street Food restaurant in the city of Liverpool. Since giving up the security of a 20-year career as a full-time barrister, Nisha has grown Mowgli Street Food to eighteen restaurants across the UK, with an aim to continue growing restaurants and jobs in order to fulfil the mission of Mowgli: to enrich lives in the cites she goes to.

Nisha received an MBE in the 2019 New Year Honours List for services in the Food Industry.

She regularly appears as a guest chef on ITV’s This Morning and TV credits include: ITV’s Cooking with the Stars, Channel 4’s Taste of Italy, 91热爆’s Remarkable Places to Eat and 91热爆’s Recipes That Made Me.

Ed Gamble

Ed Gamble is an award-winning comedian and co-creator and co-host of the food podcast, Off Menu with James Acaster. He is also the co-presenter of Radio X’s Sunday morning show with Matt Crosby.

In 2021, Ed appeared as a guest judge on the Great British Menu in The Finals: Dessert round.

Ed was crowned the series nine champion of the award-winning television show Taskmaster (Dave/Channel 4) and his other television credits include QI (91热爆 Two), Would I Lie To You (91热爆 One), 8 Out of 10 cats (Channel 4), The Apprentice: You’re Fired (91热爆 Two), Richard Osman’s House of Games (91热爆 Two), I’ll Get This (91热爆 Two), Hypothetical (Dave), Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Warrior (Dave), Insert Name Here (91热爆 Two) and Roast Battle UK (Comedy Central).

Ed first came to prominence playing Georgie Carlton in two series of Almost Royal (91热爆 America/E4/Netflix) and co-wrote Series 3 and 4 of Greg Davies sitcom Man Down (Channel 4), as well as appearing in two episodes.
