Episode 1 – The Burnywood Menace
When The Dumping Ground is threatened with closure, Tracy's drastic action leads to disaster.
Tracy gets the children to come up with ways to save money themselves. But when their ideas break every child protection and health and safety rule in the book, Tracy moves to plan B – courting publicity with a rooftop protest.
Meanwhile with everyone else pre-occupied with saving their home, Lily is asked by Matt and Christie to move back in with her sisters at their foster home. However Lily's not sure and feels she's being railroaded into the move as it will save The Dumping Ground money.
When a scared Lily sees Christie arrive at The Dumping Ground protest she fears she's going to be taken away, so flees to the rooftop with disastrous consequences.
Episode 2 – Drained
The publicity Tracy and the gang gained from their protests forces the council to perform a U-turn and save The Dumping Ground from closure. But after their initial joy Tracy must face up to the truth of her actions as Mike faces the sack.
Leanne Spinks is sent from the council to write a report for his hearing but a series of spiralling events mean that the future looks bleak for the long-serving care worker. Frank and Harry make a last ditch effort to save him and burst in on the hearing to make a desperate plea to save Mike's job. But will their efforts help save his career?
Episode 3 – Crushed
Toby gets trapped in a lie when he falls for a mysterious fellow comic fan called Sara and ends up pretending that his temporary foster parents are his real mum and dad. Things go from bad to worse when Sara reveals that her mother is dead.
Toby finally plucks up the courage to tell Sara the truth about his parents, however, his confession doesn't go to plan when she runs away. It seems he is not the only one who's been keeping secrets.
Meanwhile Tracy is finding life in the flat with Lily hard work, so takes a second job to avoid spending time at home. When Lily borrows her top and ends up ruining it, it's the final straw. However after some home truths from Carmen, Tracy has to confront the real reason she's not been getting along with Lily.
Episode 4 – Refugees
Two Yoruba speaking brothers, Dayo and Ade, arrive at The Dumping Ground having been found on a motorway.
The residents slowly find out about their harrowing tale and, wrongly believing that immigration will return them home, they hide the brothers in the attic. However the brothers think that they have been imprisoned and escape.
Anxious to show Lily what a great "big sister" she is, Tracy breaks the rules and invites Carmen and Tee to the flat when Cam is not around. But when Tracy is called back to work, chaos ensues as the girls get chilli in their eyes making face packs and accidentally start a fire.
Can Tracy and Mike manage to find the brothers and what will Mike and Cam say when they find out Tracy has broken the rules?
Episode 5 – Money
Toby finds a big bag of cash dumped in the garden by someone fleeing a police raid and feigns ignorance when the police arrive shortly afterwards asking questions. Soon the residents get to hear about the windfall and start planning how they will spend their share
When Toby sees a stranger in the garden he freaks out. The stranger says he's Toby's new social worker, Seth, but Toby doesn't believe him and after seeing his suspicious texts convinces Tracy that he is right and they lock Seth in the shed.
When everyone falls out over the money Tracy persuades them all the game is up, and they agree to hand it all back to the police.
But something does not ring true and Tracy and Mike realise the police were bogus but that Seth is the real McCoy with an innocent explanation for his suspicious sounding phone texts.
Episode 6 – Elektra
A new face, Elektra, arrives at The Dumping Ground and immediately starts causing trouble by tricking people into doing initiations to become members of her gang.
Frank and Liam manage to turn the tables on the new arrival and provide Tracy and Mike with the proof that she was behind a number of thefts.
Will Elektra have to leave The Dumping Ground or will Mike give her a second chance?
Meanwhile, Tracy and Sapphire go into town and discover too late that neither of them has any money after they eat in a fast food sausage outlet. When Liam finds out what the owner forces them to do in lieu of payment he concocts a plan which embarrasses the pair even further.
Episode 7 – What You Don't Know...
Johnny and Tee return from an experimental weekend stay with prospective foster parents convinced the family will foster them permanently. But the family only want to foster Tee. Rather than split the siblings, Tracy and Mike agree to lie, claiming the family can't foster either of them after all.
Johnny finds out what happened and persuades Tee to stay with the family. But when the foster father tells Johnny not to speak to Tee more than once a week as it unsettles her, Tracy decides that Tee should know the truth about her foster family.
A romance between Seth and Tracy seems to be blossoming but Seth tells Tracy he is leaving social work to go on the road with his band and asks her to join him. Will Tracy leave The Dumping Ground behind to follow her new romance?
Episode 8 – A Day In The Country
Mike arranges a fun weekend in the country with various activities designed to help the young people learn the value of teamwork. But things don't go to plan when both Mike and Tracy face a rebellion from their teams. Things go from bad to worse when Elektra leads Carmen to a dangerous bridge and Harry goes missing.
Episode 9 – The Scare Game
When Lily's ex-alcoholic father Steve suddenly shows up, Tracy is determined to protect her. But Lily wants to form a relationship with her dad and persuades Sapphire to help her look for him.
But she is shocked to learn he wasn't hoping to rekindle their relationship; he simply came to apologise as part of his 12-step rehabilitation programme.
Following an argument with her father Lily regrets her behaviour and sneaks away to tell him she wants them to be a family again.
Steve has a change of heart but Tracy and Mike need to be convinced that he is serious this time.
Episode 10 – Out Of Control
Liam rides on a mobility scooter parked outside a shop and finds himself up in front of a magistrate for theft and is given a week's community service working in the old-age home where Spooner, the man who owns the scooter, lives.
After a bad start, Liam and Spooner find they have things in common, Spooner having been a bit of a tearaway when he was Liam's age. And Liam is able to make amends when he foils a scam Eddie, a con man, is hustling on the pensioners.
Back at The Dumping Ground Gus has a date with Jenny, a girl from his orchestra. He gets advice from everyone on how to have the perfect date. But Jenny comes for tea and it seems to be an embarrassing disaster.
Episode 11 – Snake Bite
Elektra is reunited with someone from her past, Kali the leader of her old gang The Snakes. When Kali visits The Dumping Ground she persuades Elektra to run away with her and join the gang again. Toby follows Elektra in the hope he can change her mind. But when the gang members go to mug Toby, Elektra has to decide whose side she is on.
Gina is worried about a waltz she has to do at a rotary club dinner and Mike offers to give her lessons. When she sees Carmen and Liam making a joke of her efforts she has a change of heart and tells Mike that she is not going to go. The young people try to cheer her up but she only agrees to dance when they apologise from the heart.
Episode 12 – Grandad
Frank is ready to go fishing with his granddad when he learns that his granddad died nearly a week earlier and the funeral has already been held. At his grave side Frank vows to get him a headstone and sells his only heirloom – the antique pocket watch his granddad gave him – to Xanthe, an antiques dealer.
When Frank returns with the money he gets more bad news: his granddad is buried in a multi-occupancy pauper's grave and isn't allowed a headstone.
Tracy buys an old car and gives Frank and Liam a lift to buy the watch back. But Xanthe has earmarked the pocket watch for another customer at a vast mark-up and won't sell it back. Until Tracy comes up with a cunning plan to make her part with the heirloom...
The Dumping Ground residents rally together and surprise Frank with a special gift in memory of his granddad.
Episode 13 – Chain Reaction
Tracy faces a series of setbacks which leave her feeling isolated. Cam is in New York and Tracy, living on her own, is pretending life is one big party now she is independent. However, she keeps staying late at The Dumping Ground and is having recurring nightmares to do with her real mother as well as panic attacks.
Elektra has been making a friend of Carmen but when news comes in that Lily is back for some respite care she feels rejected and starts bullying Carmen.
Tracy is left dejected when she discovers that Lily wants to spend her respite care at The Dumping Ground and that Cam might spend another six months in New York. With no one to turn to Tracy phones Seth, saying she made a mistake in refusing to go on tour with him but learns he has another girlfriend.
The Dumping Ground is planning a welcome back party for Lily with Gus. The noise and constant badgering grates on Tracy who has a massive panic attack in front of everyone.
But after some good advice, a surprise from The Dumping Ground and an unexpected visitor Tracy is soon ready to face the future again.
