Vernon Kay is teaming up with 91Èȱ¬ Radio 1 breakfast regulars Comedy Dave, Aled, Dom and Carrie for a week in March while Chris Moyles tests his endurance climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Vernon will host the show from Monday 2 to Friday 6 March, and on Monday 9 March, between 6.30 and 10.00am
Moyles will spend seven days climbing the 19,341 feet to raise money for Red Nose Day 2009, reporting back to Vernon with the aches, pains and progress, via satellite, weekday mornings from 9.00am.
Vernon says: "I am looking forward to stepping into the big man's shoes. We'll be getting right behind Chris and the team as they climb Kili and bringing listeners the latest news from up the mountain. I must say, though, getting up that early is going to be a bit of a shock to the system, I've not done that since cleaning phone boxes!''
