Describe your character
Amber works for a tobacco firm but has never smoked herself because it's bad for you. She is always searching for an identity, picking up boyfriends and hobbies as she goes, and constantly seeking her father's love and affection. Emotionally, she is still a child, and her neediness and self-centredness can be exhausting, but ultimately she is a very caring and loving daughter.
What drew you to the role?
She is very flawed but I can't help empathising with her.
What was it like to work with Clive, Roger and Jane?
I loved working with them. I have admired all three of them from afar and they make for great company.
What comedies do you enjoy?
Peep Show, Star Stories, One Foot In The Grave, Pulling, League Of Gentlemen, Steptoe And Son, and I used to love Bruce Forsyth's The Generation Game too.
Any memorable moments from filming?
When I had to "cycle" down the steps they put me on a rickshaw and pulled me down because a stuntman did the actual cycling down them. Two men pulled me down and it turned out to be rather terrifying so my reaction when I say "I'm going to die" is most genuine.
Why should the audience tune in?
This is a sitcom for everyone – and it's funny.
