Gigglebox
Ìý
Gigglebox is CBeebies' first ever comedy sketch show aimed at real little gigglers.
Ìý
It harnesses the talent of one of the nation's favourite presenters, Justin Fletcher,
previously seen in Something Special, Tikkabilla, Higgledy House and a presenter of
CBeebies Radio.
Ìý
Justin introduces an array of new comic characters to make kids giggle, wriggle and
guffaw.
Ìý
He plays a host of new faces, including: King Flannel – he may be old, but
doddery he is not; Gail Force – a weather reporter who is subjected to a range of
extreme climate changes; Andy Guy, a DIY man with unconventional methods; and
one of The Berito Brothers – a three-man acrobatic act.
Ìý
There is also Chip Munk, who works in a pet shop although he never seems to sell
any pets. He loves animals so much that he has started to behave like them.
Ìý
Lastly,
there's Jungle Jim, a roving wildlife explorer who is always on the hunt but doesn't
always spot the wildlife (it's closer than he thinks!).
Ìý
Justin's versatility and acting range shines through as he morphs into
these characters throughout this sketch show series.
Ìý
Kids will be smiling, chuckling and rolling with laughter as they get to
know characters and catchphrases in Gigglebox while developing their
own sense of humour.

Grandpa In My Pocket
Ìý
Grandpa In My Pocket is a charming new comedy drama series aimed at
four-to-six-year-olds.
Ìý
Grandpa lives with his family in a beautiful seaside town called Sunnysands. Everyone
thinks he spends all his time stuck in his armchair, but he has a magic shrinking cap
which only his grandson, Jason, knows about.
Ìý
When Grandpa puts his cap on, he
becomes small enough to fit into Jason's pocket, not to mention his toy plane and car.
Ìý
He turns up in all sorts of unlikely places and creates comic mayhem which Jason has
to sort out. Grandpa is playful and mischievous but always a force for good. Together,
Grandpa and Jason make a great team and have a host of hilarious adventures.
Ìý
Combining live action with CG animation and visual effects to create a totally
believable world, Grandpa In My Pocket explores and celebrates the hugely significant
relationship between grandparent and grandchild.
Ìý
Highly regarded actor James Bolam stars as Grandpa and several well-known
television faces, including Susan Jameson, Lisa Goddard, Rula Lenska and Meera Syal,
make guest appearances playing some of the larger-than-life comic characters that
inhabit Grandpa's world.

The Green Balloon Club
Ìý
CBeebies' weekly wildlife show, The Green Balloon Club, takes children
on a magical journey.
Ìý
As part of the Eco-Beebies strand, the show explores
wildlife in the UK and visits schools and children who are trying to improve
the environment.
Ìý
The members of the Green Balloon Club are Lily-Rose (Isabella
Blake-Thomas) who specialises in botany; Ant (Adam Wells) who looks at
insects; Cat (Thai Murray-Edwards) who focuses on animals; and Jay (Jake
Pratt) who is interested in birds.
Ìý
They are accompanied on their adventures
by Skye (Debbie Korley), a balloonist who watches over them.
Ìý
Each week, the children meet in a virtual clubhouse made from recycled
bottles and boxes attached to the Green Balloon.
Ìý
The clubhouse transports
the children around the country, linking to reports sent in by viewers and
special reports from Jelly, the inquisitive three-year-old from CBeebies
Springwatch.
Ìý
There are also special film contributions by 91Èȱ¬ Natural
History Unit presenters Chris Howard and Bill Oddie.
Ìý
Every week, a password is given enabling children to enter the Green
Balloon Club website where they can earn Green Stars by completing tasks
like growing their own food in a window box or garden, helping with
recycling, or spotting animals and birds.
Ìý
They can keep a record of their
achievements in an online scrapbook which updates each time they visit
the site.
Ìý
With each star earned, Skye the balloonist suggests a way in which children
can use what they've learned in the real world.
Ìý
EcoBeebies introduces children and their families to a range of
environmental, conservation and wildlife related issues.

Iconicles
Ìý
Let's go to the world of the Iconicles!
Ìý
Nat is a young explorer and
inventor. In his futuristic laboratory-like studio he is constantly working
on new inventions.
Ìý
One of these, the Iconi-Screen, is a remarkable
floating interactive two-way portal to a wondrous "virtual" world full of
quirky animals, birds and other amazing creatures.
Ìý
Iconicles uses a mixture of live action, animation, games, songs and
silliness to take its young audience on a captivating journey of discovery,
encouraging them to think creatively and critically about the world
around them.
Ìý
Nat calls his new friends the Iconicles. There's Rumple the rhino, a bit of a
grouch with a big heart; Miss Moo the cow, a stickler for rules who keeps
everyone and everything in order; Skitter the squirrel, an energetic daredevil with a
passion for collecting; Splish and Splash the baby polar bears, cuddly and curious twins who
can't bear not to be where the action is; and a host of other fascinating and sometimes
fantastic creatures.
Ìý
Thanks to its remarkable interactive powers, Nat's high-tech screen allows him to observe the
Iconicles' daily activities and antics, talk to them, guide them and help them learn about life. He
can even join in their adventures.
Ìý
And, once in a while, the Iconicles surprise him by leaping
through the screen into his world, at which point these 2-D animated characters take on full 3-D
form in his live action studio.
Ìý
Nat can chat, play or just hang out with his Iconicle friends as he
learns more about them and they learn about him.

Mister Maker
Ìý
Mister Maker is the ultimate interactive arts and crafts show.
Ìý
Set in a magical
studio made from oversized arts materials, it combines live action, graphics and a
variety of animation techniques to bring the world of art to life in a modern,
fresh and ground-breaking way.
Ìý
Mister Maker is an engaging character who acts as a catalyst for all the big ideas
and brilliant arty techniques within the show and encourages and inspires
children to have a go.
Ìý
From bonfire pictures and junk robots to worms in a can and cotton-bud sheep,
the series is packed with exciting things for children to make and keep.
Ìý
Children
can expect the unexpected as images, objects and things that Mister Maker has
made come to life.
Ìý
With the help of real children, large-scale pictures of all sorts of things – from
pencils to parrots – are created.
Ìý
The series also sees the return of the popular
shape people and "minute make", where Mister Maker creates something
wonderful in 60 seconds.
Ìý
From his trusty doodle drawers, Mister Maker uses all sorts of materials
including crisp tubes, shower gel containers and plastic bottles, transforming
them into light houses, funky door signs and spaceman skittles.
Ìý
With such
inspiration, little hands will soon be busy making and creating.
