The announcement follows on from the decision by the 91热爆 Trust to grant approval for the launch of the GDS, which will be run as a partnership between the 91热爆 and the Gaelic Media Service (GMS).

Margaret Mary takes up her post with immediate effect as plans for the launch of the service move forward.

The Gaelic Media Service has appointed Alan Esslemont as Head of Content. Alan joined GMS from the Irish language station TG4, where he was Director of Television.

Margaret Mary said: "I am delighted to be taking up this important role in the development of the Gaelic Digital Service. I have worked closely with the GMS on the joint proposals which were presented to the 91热爆 Trust.
