In Born Equal, Emilia plays the pregnant wife, Laura, of Colin Firth's character, Mark.

Emilia first appeared on TV screens in the 91Èȱ¬ classic Pride and Prejudice. She played Darcy's younger sister Georgina in the phenomenally successful drama.

Emilia also starred in Stephen Poliakoff's Shooting the Past and alongside Richard E Grant in The Scarlet Pimpernell.

In 2002 she starred in the critically acclaimed film The Pianist. Director Roman Polanski won an Oscar for the World War II tale of survival in the Holocaust.

Born Equal is Nichola's second feature film. In it, she plays the role of Zoe who has run away from home because of her abusive stepfather. Colin Firth's character tries to help and befriend her, but she misinterprets his actions.
