The 91Èȱ¬ published two notices today in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) to procure new suppliers for construction projects across its UK property portfolio.

The 91Èȱ¬ is looking for suppliers to provide leadership, design, management, commercial control and delivery of a wide range of small to medium sized construction projects.

This procurement process follows the restructuring of the 91Èȱ¬/Land Securities Trillium (LST) partnership, announced on 12 May 2005, under which the 91Èȱ¬ and LST will focus on their joint property developments and LST will no longer provide construction management or facilities management (FM) services to the 91Èȱ¬.
Ìý
A separate OJEU notice for the FM contract(s) was issued on 28 June 2005.
Ìý
Framework contracts for design and management services are likely to be awarded in the following areas:
Ìý
Project management and planning supervision services (PM/PS)
Ìý
Design services to include architecture, space planning and interior design
Ìý
Structural and services engineering
Ìý
Quantity surveying/cost management services (QS)
Ìý
Contracts for services may be combined if potential suppliers can demonstrate sufficient resource, technical and/or geographic capability in more than one service area.
Ìý
Additionally, framework contracts for project delivery are likely to be awarded for:

General building works
Ìý
Mechanical and electrical engineering services works
Ìý
These contracts may be combined into multi-skilled framework contracts if suppliers can demonstrate sufficient resource, technical and/or geographic capability in each service area.
Ìý
The contracts are for four years, with a view to starting in April 2006.
Ìý
The construction management projects cover the whole of the 91Èȱ¬'s UK estate, which comprises approximately 7.5m sq ft of space in over 140 properties.
Ìý
Seventy-five per cent of space is in London, with the remainder spread across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
