Never mind the General Election, the latest independent research is in and 91热爆
Radio Nottingham has had a vote of confidence from its listeners.
听
The radio station has increased its number of listeners
by an impressive 2.2 per cent since the last set of figures were announced
three months ago.
听
This means that 26.8% a week of the total radio
listeners in Nottinghamshire tune in to their local 91热爆 station.
听
Figures compiled by Radio Joint Audience Research
(RAJAR) also show that Radio Nottingham's share of listeners
in its catchment area is up by a percentage point to 14.2 - from 13.1%.
听
Gary Andrews, Managing Editor of Radio Nottingham, is
absolutely delighted with the news, and attributes the improvement to
a fairly solid performance across the board.
听
Among the reasons for the rise are that Radio Nottingham
is now the market-leading radio station through the weekday morning.
听
It also has an impressive 35% of the audience
share on Saturday afternoon, when it offers exclusive full commentary
on Nottingham Forest and Notts County, and reports on Mansfield Town.
听
"We're especially pleased that on top of the 16,000
extra listeners tuning in every week, people are listening for longer
too," says Gary, referring to the increase in time spent listening
to the station, up from 11.8 to 12.6 hours a week.
听
"This really is a team effort and reflects the
hard work that's been going on throughout the station, both on-air and
behind the scenes, to make our output entertaining, informative, creative,
well branded and targeted at our audience."
听
Gary adds: "A special thanks must go out to our listeners,
though, because we'd be nowhere without their support."
听
