Fame
Academy - the next three students
The
boys came out on top last night on 91热爆 ONE when they won all three
Fame Academy places up for grabs in a battle that saw the three
girls lose out.
Cat
Deeley and Patrick Kielty introduced live performances from six
potential students, cheered on by England cricketers Michael Vaughan,
Anthony McGrath, Ashley Giles and Darren Gough who came to the show
after bumping into one of Saturday's winning students, Alistair
Griffin.
The
viewers' vote automatically awarded Academy places to:
Peter
Brame, aged 23, from Colchester, indie singer-songwriter, guitarist,
who sang Last Train To Clarkville;
and
James
Fox, aged 27, from Cardiff, guitarist and songwriter who sang
Don't Dream It's Over.
With
only one place left it was up to the students - the four who made
it through on Saturday and last night's two winners - to make the
final choice.
It
was Audley Anderson, 31, from Surrey, who grabbed the third
and final place after singing Me and Mrs Jones.
Audley
said: "And
I thought the auditions were hard - close wasn't the word! I've
got no nails left!"
James
said: "I'm
going to have to win just to buy the pink Porsche that my girlfriend
wants! I've
bought my guitar with me that my mum bought for me - and is still
paying for it.
"When
I was listening to the names being read out I was thinking just
let it be me. I couldn't believe it when it was."
Peter
said: "I'm
on planet fruit cake after tonight! I
decided I'd just be myself and see how people reacted.
"Robin
Gibb said my rendition was better than the Monkees - I have to agree!"
For
the unsuccessful hopefuls the Fame Academy dream is over, after
months of auditions that started with more than 12,000 applicants:
Andrea
Magee (18) from Glengormley, Belfast; Nicole
Davis (23) from Essex; and Renata
Wilson (19) from Peterborough.
The
live audition shows continue on Saturday (2 August) on 91热爆 ONE at
6.30pm when six more hopefuls compete for the next three Academy
places.
These
are:
Nathan Thomas, 24, from Hertford, soulful guitarist and songwriter;
Paris
Campbell-Edwards, 23, from London, RnB, soft rock, keyboard player;
Ryan
Fletcher, 20, from Glasgow, indie, guitar playing songwriter;
Sally
Dawson, 26, from Bradford, powerful soul;
Simone
Stewart, 26, from Harrow, pop, RnB;
and
Terence Surin, 20, from South East London, RnB, soul and pop.
On Wednesday 6 August three hopefuls will win the last three places
at the Academy.
