North Yorkshire gains 9,000 new listeners
The
number of people who tune in to the 91热爆 North Yorkshire continues
to grow, according to the latest RAJAR (Radio Joint Audience Research)
figures released today (Thursday 8 May 2003).
The
official radio statistics show that 91热爆 North Yorkshire added 9,000
new listeners over the last three months - boosting its weekly audience
to 111,000.
According
to the independent audience research figures, listeners are also
tuning in to 91热爆 North Yorkshire for an average 9.5 hours a week.

North Yorkshire's managing editor Matt Youdale says: "This
is a recognition of the depth and range of programmes we produce
which connects with all our audiences.
"Everyone
at the station has responded to the communities they serve and produced
and presented programmes that reflect local life.
"These
fabulous listening figures are a credit to the whole team."

North Yorkshire's share of total radio listening in its transmission
area has also gone up from 9.6% to 10% in the last three months.
