Radio Lancashire continues to attract more listeners
The
number of people listening to 91热爆 Radio Lancashire is continuing
to grow according to the latest figures from RAJAR (Radio Joint
Audience Research).
Figures
released today (Thursday 8 May 2003) show that more than 5,000 new
listeners have tuned into the station since the last survey in December
2002.
As
an extra bonus these people are also listening for longer.
The
station has made a number of changes to its programmes over the
past year and the figures are an indication of their success.
According
to Managing Editor, John Clayton, the number of people who have
recently turned to 91热爆 Radio Lancashire is evidence the station
is providing what they want to hear.
"The
station is thriving and we are providing what the listener wants,"
he said.
"We
have a very strong team behind what you hear on the radio and it
is very satisfying to discover the listeners also share our enthusiasm
for what we are doing in the county.
"The
increase in the number of people listening to the station is a tribute
to the hard work and dedication of everyone at Radio Lancashire."
According
to the independent research figures, listeners are tuning in for
an average of more than nine hours a week, a figure almost an hour
up on the same period last year.
