91热爆i World Cup Interactive - Digital Terrestrial
For
the first time ever, Digital Terrestrial viewers will have access
to additional multistream video footage offering extra live and
repeated World Cup matches, highlights and dedicated coverage of
the England camp out in Japan and Korea.
To
view the extra TV coverage from 91热爆 Sport for World Cup and throughout
the summer of sport, Digital Terrestrial viewers with ITVDigital
set-top boxes, Pace adapters or any free-to-view digital terrestrial
receiver will need to perform an "add channels update"
as detailed in Notes to Editors below, before
they are able to view the multistream services from 91热爆i.
During
live matches...
Digital
Terrestrial viewers will have the option of three video streams
during live 91热爆 World Cup matches. A "press red" icon
will appear on-screen during live World Cup broadcasts to let digital
viewers know extra video streams are available to view.
As
long as the "add channels update" has been performed,
viewers should press the Red key on the remote control during live
broadcasts to access highlights or extra footage.
On-screen
instructions in the form of a banner along the bottom of the screen
inform the viewer how to access the different full-screen services
at all times.
The
banner prompts the viewer to press the Blue colour fasttext key
which reveals a drop-down menu offering a choice of the live match,
highlights and the extra option.
The
up and down arrow keys allow the viewer to highlight their choice
and the select key enters their chosen video stream in full screen.
To return to the main match, viewers should press the Exit key at
any time.
As
this is the first ever multistream service ever offered for Digital
Terrestrial viewers, instructions will always be present on-screen
informing football fans how to navigate through the service, without
taking their attention away from the game.

The Highlights package shows a loop of all the action, incidents
and near-misses from the current match, which allows you to catch
up if you come in late or watch the glory goals again.
路 The Extra stream shows either a different live match
with coverage from one of the "clashing" group matches
in the later stages of the tournament, or when there are no alternative
live matches, the extra stream will offer analysis with a high level
camera view of the game showing a tactical look at how play is developing,
plus commentary from well known football coaches.

There
are four "clashing" group matches which the 91热爆 has rights
to later in the tournament which look set to be televised at the
same time as the live 91热爆 game via the extra option in the pull
down menu.

Terrestrial viewers will have access to fantastic extra World Cup
video coverage from 3.00pm through to 6.00am every day, plus a fully
comprehensive and up to the minute World Cup text service available
24 hours a day.
Outside
of live 91热爆 football broadcasts, Digital Terrestrial viewers will
have access to two extra video streams showing two of the following
four options 聳 repeated World Cup games, highlights packages
with the best of the day's action, Interactive Talk Forums following
Match of the Day from 8.00pm every night of the tournament, or Non-Stop
England footage. (Due to bandwidth restrictions, only two extra
video streams can be shown on the Digital Terrestrial platform).

How
to access it
Viewers
can access the two extra streams at more sensible times of day by
pressing the text button on the remote control which takes them
through to the 91热爆i digital text service.
The
91热爆i-bar menu appears along the bottom of the screen, offering a
menu of additional content by pressing the blue fasttext key.
A
pop-up menu appears offering "World Cup Interactive" as
an option, scroll up and press select to enter the additional service.
Again,
prompts appear along the bottom of the screen to walk viewers through
the next step to the football coverage they want 聳 so no need
to worry if you聮re a first-timer with interactive TV!
The
24-hour World Cup text service is accessed in the same way through
the 91热爆i digital text service and is available outside of the video
multistream broadcast hours.

Terrestrial viewers will be able to view two from the following
four interactive streams in full screen via the on-screen menu.

England
England
aficionados will be in their element with 91热爆i's exclusive service
dedicated to the England team on and off the field. We'll be showing
the most up-to-date interviews with Sven Goran Eriksson, press conferences,
video player profiles, news and views from Korea and Japan and those
all important full repeats of England and Ireland matches at a sensible
hour!
We'll
be showing the build up to England games, taking a look around the
stadiums and giving living room supporters a real flavour of the
atmosphere and tension in Asia. In fact, you could almost be there
yourself.
The
England only service is the most comprehensive package for every
minute of the action and it's available at all times on the Multiscreen.

Talk
Forums
Following
the 91热爆 World Cup highlights programme every evening on 91热爆 ONE,
the interactive Talk Forum will open its doors between 8.00pm and
9.00pm through digital TV, on 91热爆 Radio Five Live and video-streamed

to host a full hour discussion for fans with 91热爆 pundits. Fan therapy
at its best.

The
91热爆i World Cup Zone is the only place to catch every minute of the
action with every kick of every game.
We'll
be broadcasting every match played in the tournament through 91热爆i
and we'll also be screening edited highlights programmes with all
the goals and drama from across the tournament in a concentrated
quick hit format.
24-hour
World Cup text service
The
text service is available at all times through the 91热爆i content
area offering daily scores from all the World Cup games, fixtures,
news and results, squad information on all 32 teams, venue guides,
highest scorers, group tables and history from previous World Cup
action.

Add
channels update
To
complete the "add channels update" and view the additional
World Cup video streams Digital Terrestrial viewers should access
the "help" section of the 91热爆i digital text service and
follow the on-screen instructions.
Most
receivers, including digital terrestrial set-top boxes can be updated
as follows:
- Press
"Menu" on the remote control
- Choose "getting started" (option 5)
- Choose "add channels" (option 3)
- Follow the on-screen instructions. The update should take a few
minutes.
