Above is an image from the Victorian courtroom at the Galleries of Justice.
Here you can relive a real trial
from the 19th Century and experience the rough justice imposed on the defendants.
When you visit the Galleries of Justice you can decide who are guilty and who are innocent.
Shire Hall Shire Hall and the surrounding buildings in which the Galleries of Justice is housed, were in use from the 1700's up to the mid 1980's.
There has been a court on the site since 1375 and a prison since at least 1449.
