Cherrie
McIlwaine Presenter
Cherrie's introduction to the world of gardening
came at the age of five when she helped her
dad to turn a one acre plot into a lush green
lawn. She now lives in a small terraced house
with a not-so-small terraced garden which she
loves for its rebellious tendencies.
Julie
Brown Producer
Julie has produced the show for 16 years. She
says the experience is not unlike raising a
family - both respond to careful nurturing in
order to grow and flourish! Her favourite plants
are roses, lilies hellebores and clematis.
Jim
Bradley
Jim is a well known local gardening expert and
has been involved with 91Èȱ¬ Northern Ireland
gardening programmes for the past 16 years.
Jim's pedigree is impressive as his ancestor
is the famous 19th century plant hunter, Augustine
Henry, who brought a range of plants such as
clematis and honeysuckle from China to Europe.
Joan
Christie
Joan inherited her love of gardening from her
father, who was a nurseryman. In her last garden,
which she tended for over 40 years, she planted
acers, rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias.
Now, at a seaside location, she is tackling
a new design and plans to favour an entirely
different group of plants.
Keith
Crawford
Keith has been a regular contributor to Gardeners'
Corner for over 12 years. Keith believes that
gardening should always be enjoyable and tries
to share his enthusiasm for all things horticultural
in a relaxed and entertaining manner.
