Director: Tom Harper

Film synopsis: A gang of kids have discovered a dark new sport…

Age: 26

Getting started: I worked as an Assistant Editor in a post-production facility and wanted to learn how use the equipment. I figured the best way to do this would be to try and edit some footage that I had shot myself and soon realised that I enjoyed getting the footage much more than I enjoyed sitting in a dark room trying to get the computer to work.

Worst job you've had: Sitting in a small portacabin in the middle of deserted wasteland watching a red light. If the red light came on I had to go outside and close a gate to stop cars crossing a railway. Except there were no cars.

Biggest expense on Cubs: Bandit the fox. But he was cute and gave a good performance which kind of makes up for it.

Film location : On a disused railway that runs from Finsbury Park to Highgate in North London about 5 minutes up the road from where I live.

Time from idea to delivery: Almost a year.

Top tip for film making: Spend time finding the right idea, but don't spend ages trying to find finance. Cheap digital cameras can produce beautiful results and above all it's about the story and the characters anyway.
