Leaning Tower of Pisa

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is now stable and straightened (well, a little bit) thanks to work by engineers trying to save Italy's famous building.

They said that after 17 years of observation "the Tower of Pisa is stable and very slowly reducing its lean."

The 57m tall tower's leaned to one side ever since building started in 1173.

Tourist love the lean and take funny photos at it.

The tower was closed to the public in 1990 for 11 years because of worries that it was leaning too much.

Repair work straightened it by more than 40 centimetres and now it's straightened by another 4cm.
