Originally they were called UFO but had to change their name to JLS as another band already existed with the same name. Did you know that JLS stood for Jack The Lad Swing?Image caption, The band were runners up to Alexandra Burke in the 2008 competition, but were the most successful finalists from that year. Other finalists Eoghan Quigg and Diana Vickers weren't so successful....Image caption, Now that's a move! Band member Marvin was no stranger to showing off his gymnastic skills performing back flips during stage performances. Their first two singles Beat Again and Everybody in Love both went to number one in the UK Singles Chart.Image caption, The band have their own charity called the JLS Foundation, and in 2010 released the official Children in Need single Love You More.
