Starlings swooping over Swindon in amazing display
- Published
For a number of weeks thousands of starlings have been turning and swooping in perfect unison over the town centre of Swindon.
The starlings take flight twice a day on the lookout for food.
The long cold winter is the most likely explanation for the flocking because the town is warmer than the surrounding countryside.
A flock of starlings is known as a murmuration and they're one of nature's most amazing sights.
However, thousands of birds means a lot of bird droppings!
