In the next three years, all dogs in England will have to be fitted with a microchip.
By law, all dogs will have to carry a chip about the size of a grain of rice.
It's to try and tackle the problem of stray dogs in England - where around 100,000 dogs are either lost or abandoned each year.
All dogs have to be chipped in Northern Ireland already, and anyone who doesn't have their dogs chipped could be fined 拢500.
