Housing plan for Jersey police and ambulance station site

  • Published

More than 160 flats and a handful of houses could be built on the site of Jersey's police and ambulance stations.

The Rouge Bouillion site will be used for social housing when the police move to new headquarters and ambulance crews share a site with the fire service.

The plans are supported by the housing department, which believes it will help regenerate the north of town.

Assistant Treasury Minister Deputy Eddie Noel said it was the right place for the project.

Deputy Noel said: "It is on the ring road, will be easy for people to get in and out of work and is a good use of that part of town and will help kick-start the regeneration of that part of town."
