Jersey's chief minister has said he will raise the issue of youth unemployment at a summit of the British Irish Council.
Senator Ian Gorst will travel to Dublin to attend the summit on Monday.
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Scotland's First Minister, Alex Salmond, will also be at the forum.
Senator Gorst said he was "committed" to tackling the rise in unemployment and would be "discussing this issue with my counterparts".
Senator Sir Philip Bailhache will also be attending the summit where the issue of the misuse of drugs is also due to be raised.
Senator Gorst said: "It will be valuable to compare the strategies of the different assemblies in addressing these issues, which are common to us all."
