Fuel costs push up Aurigny flight prices

Increased fuel costs will push up the price of travel with Guernsey's States owned airline.
Passengers will have to pay more on Aurigny flights from the Bailiwick to the UK.
Flying from Guernsey to Manchester, Stansted, East Midlands or Dinard, and from Alderney to Southampton, will incur an extra £2 charge.
And those travelling to Gatwick, Bristol, Jersey and Alderney will be paying £1 more for their journeys.
Aurigny said the rise in the price of fuel meant it would pay an additional £600,000 a year.
To cover these costs the airline said "it had no alternative" but to share the fees with passengers.
The airline also raised the price of flights to and from Gatwick Airport earlier this month because of increased landing fees.
