Charges have been dropped against one of the men accused of murdering a man who was found outside a hospital.
Conall Evans of Pentre, Rhondda Cynon Taf, was found injured in a car park outside Tonypandy's Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda on New Year's Day.
Dewi Morgan, 24, from Trealaw, and Ashley Davies, 30, from Pentre, were previously charged with his murder.
But police have revealed Mr Morgan will not now be prosecuted and has been released.
Mr Evans' family have been informed and continue to receive support, South Wales Police added.
Det Insp David Butt said: "Following the death of Conall Evans on 1 January, Ashley Davies, 30, from Pentre, and a 24-year-old man from Trealaw, were charged with murder and remanded into custody.
"After lengthy consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, they have decided not to proceed with the prosecution of the 24-year-old and he has been released."
