A man has been jailed for life after stabbing his friend to death in his home with "extreme" violence.
The body of David Green, 61, was found by South Wales Police officers at a house on New Orchard Street, Swansea, on 9 April.
Paul Jenkins, 39, admitted murder some time between 6 and 9 April and also possessing a bladed article.
At Swansea Crown Court, Jenkins was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 20 years.
The court heard how the defendant went into Swansea Central Police Station, saying he had stabbed his friend numerous times and did not believe he was still alive.
Officers visited the address and found Mr Green dead, having suffered many knife injuries.
Following sentencing, Det Ch Insp Paul Raikes said: "This was a senseless murder by Paul Jenkins upon a frail and vulnerable man.
"David Green was murdered in his home by someone whom he trusted and considered to be a friend.
"The level of violence displayed by Paul Jenkins was extreme and shows him to be a dangerous individual."
