A man has been charged with indecent assault against a teenage boy as an investigation into allegations of historical child abuse in north Wales care system continues.
Richard Dafydd Vevar, 62, from Wrexham, is accused of assaulting a boy who was aged between 13 and 16, said the National Crime Agency (NCA).
The offences are alleged to have taken place between 1986 and 1989.
Mr Vevar has been bailed to appear at Dolgellau Magistrates Court on 2 June.
He is the second man to be charged in the investigation called Operation Pallial which was set up after allegations of abuse emerged from children aged between six and 19 who had been at care homes across north Wales between 1953 and 1995.
Twenty people have been arrested since it began in November 2012.
Another man, John Allen, 72, has been charged with a string of child sex offences and awaits trial later this year.
Mr Allen faces 39 counts in total, including 29 alleging indecent assault. He denies all charges.
