Hollie Arnold, 18, from Hengoed, Caerphilly county, competes in the F46 javelin. She made her Paralympic debut in Beijing where she also represented GB for the first time. Aled Sion Davies, 21, from Bridgend, competes in the F42 discus and shot put. Notable performances in 2011 include silver in the discus at the IPC World Athletic Championships in New Zealand and gold in discus and shot at the World Juniors in Dubai.

Kyron Duke, 19, from Cwmbran, competes in the F40 javelin and shot put. He won bronze at his first senior world championships, and also competed for Wales in the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

Jordan Howe, 16, from Cardiff, runs in the T35 100m and 200m. In the UK School Games in May 2012 he took gold in both the 100m and 200m. He is part of the UK Athletics Development Programme and is ranked third in the world in the 100m

Beverley Jones, 37, from Queensferry, competes in the F37 discus and shot put. An experienced Paralympian, she competed at the world championships in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2011. She recently took silver in the shot in the European championships in Holland

Stephen Morris, 23, from Cardiff, is competing in the T20, 1500m in athletics. He has represented Wales in the London 2012 test event in the Olympic Stadium in June. London will be his first Paralympic Games (Picture: Sport Wales).

Rhys Jones, 18, from Clydach Vale, competes in the T37 100m and 200m athletics. Competing in his first Paralympics, he was selected for the UKA Development Squad in November 2011.

Runner Jenny McLoughlin, 20, from Chepstow, competes in the T37 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay. This is her second Paralympics after she made her debut in Beijing. She has competed at the IPC World Championships 2011 and most recently the 2012 European Championships, Holland.

Josie Pearson, 26, from Hay-on Wye, competes in the F51 discus and club. Josie was the first woman to represent Great Britain at wheelchair rugby. She is competing in her second Paralympics at London and has her sights set on gold in the discus.

Nathan Stephens, 24, from Kenfig Hill, competes in the F57 javelin and discus. A competitor at Beijing in 2008, he won gold at the IPC Athletics World Championships in New Zealand in 2011. Claire Williams, 24, from Carmarthen, competes in the F12 discus. This is her third Paralympics. She made her debut in Athens and also competed at Beijing, the world championships in New Zealand, and most recently took bronze in the Europeans in Holland.
