Energy services provider Wood Group PSN (WGPSN) has won its sixth major North Sea contract extension this year.
The Aberdeen-based firm secured a three-year contract from Nexen Petroleum for operations, maintenance and technical support services to the Scott and Buzzard platforms.
The deal also covers Nexen's Golden Eagle area development, which is expected to come on stream in 2015.
The award follows five other recent North Sea contract extensions.
The latest deal will see 250 people employed offshore and 30 onshore in support of the contract. Its value has not been disclosed.
WGPSN UK managing director Dave Stewart said: "We are delighted to have secured an extension to this significant contract.
"Combined with our involvement in the hook-up and commissioning of the Golden Eagle development project, this award underlines the strength of our relationship with Nexen."
WGPSN has previously delivered hook-up and commissioning services for the Buzzard platform enhancement project in the North Sea.
Two weeks ago WGPSN announced a deal with Ithaca Energy which will see WGPSN operate and deliver managed services to the Beatrice offshore platforms and Nigg onshore terminal until the end of their operating life.
This was followed last week with a 拢40m one-year extension from ConocoPhillips for one of its longest running projects in the North Sea.
The firm has also signed contracts this year with CNR, Total and Teekey.
In the UK, Wood Group now employs more than 11,000 people onshore and offshore.
