Transport group Stagecoach has launched Britain's first budget sleeper coach service.
The pilot Glasgow to London service is being operated by the group's budget coach provider, megabus.com.
The company has converted 60ft articulated coaches for the service, which will run seven nights a week.
The coaches have been fitted with 24 berths, each equipped with a reading light and curtain as well as a duvet, pillow and blanket.
Passengers will also be allocated a standard seat for their journeys.
They will also be given an overnight pack containing a toothbrush, toothpaste, bottle of water, eye mask and luggage label.
Stagecoach Group chief executive Sir Brian Souter said: "We've had huge interest in the sleeper coach.
"Feedback from the trials we have carried out over the past two months has been very positive about the extra comfort, facilities and the great-value prices."
