Armed police handcuffed a 15-year-old boy while searching a home in Aberdeen for a gun - which turned out to be a toy.
Officers attended a property in the Northfield area of the city at about midnight on Monday after a "suspected firearm" was spotted in a window.
Police Scotland said they spoke with residents and, after the toy was found, no criminality was established.
A spokesperson added that handcuffing was standard practice in such cases.
