A star of a 91Èȱ¬ drama based on the true story of the Glasgow Girls is in upcoming Marvel film Black Panther.

Letitia Wright appears in the newly-released first trailer for the superhero movie as warrior Shuri.

Wright was in 2014's Glasgow Girls, a film inspired by the real-life story of seven Glaswegian schoolgirls.

The girls' campaign against dawn raids and the detention of child asylum seekers led to changes in immigration practices in Scotland.

Their actions was also the inspiration for a stage musical.

Black Panther is Marvel's first black superhero movie and follows the lead character's return home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as king.

It stars Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Lupita Nyong'o and Forest Whitaker.

Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis also star.

The film is to be released in cinemas early next year.
