Substantial sum stolen from Foyle Hospice charity shop

Thieves have stolen a substantial sum of money from a furniture shop run by Foyle Hospice in Londonderry.
Volunteers discovered the break-in at the charity shop in the Springtown Industrial Estate on Monday morning.
Noel McMonagle, Foyle Hospice's Community Fundraising Manager, said the workers were very upset at the loss of their weekend takings.
"It's a real blow to their morale that someone would target a charity shop in this way," he said.
The shop raises much needed funding for cancer patients while providing affordable furniture to the local community.
