A68 Northumberland crash: Man dies and passenger critical

A man has died following a car crash in Northumberland at the weekend.
The 69-year-old driver was involved in a collision with another vehicle on the A68, near Bingfield, shortly before 13:00 BST on Sunday.
He was airlifted to hospital where he died on Tuesday, Northumbria Police said.
Three people remain in hospital, including a passenger in the same vehicle. The woman, 25, is described as being in a critical condition.
Sgt Russ Surrey, of Northumbria Police, said the force was working to establish what happened in the moments before the crash. He appealed for witnesses to come forward.
