Three wards at a Brighton hospital have been closed to new admissions following an outbreak of the norovirus bug.
Two wards were shut at the Royal Sussex County Hospital on Friday and a third was closed as a precaution on Sunday.
Patients and visitors suffering from vomiting, sickness and diarrhoea have been advised to avoid coming to hospital unless it is urgent.
Managers at the Royal Sussex County Hospital said they hoped to have reopened two of the wards by Tuesday.
The norovirus bug can last for two or three days. People can be infectious for 48 hours before any symptoms appear.
