Mobility scooter rider dies after crash with van in Barnsley

A mobility scooter rider who was seriously injured in a crash with a van in Barnsley has died, police said.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Shaw Lane in Mapplewell on the morning of 26 October.
A 73-year-old man was taken to hospital and died on 2 November, South Yorkshire Police said.
The force said the driver of the van remained at the scene and has been helping with the investigation. Police have appealed for witnesses.
