A teenage girl is in hospital with serious head injuries following a disorder involving up to 20 people, police said.

West Mercia Police officers were called to the disturbance on the Woodside housing estate in Wigmores, Telford, at 21:20 GMT on Friday.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in custody.

Police patrols in the area have been stepped up.
