Man, 19, seriously injured in Northampton town-centre attack

Three men have been arrested after a man, 19, suffered serious head injuries in a town-centre attack.
The incident happened in Gold Street, Northampton, at about 05:45 BST on Saturday.
Police were called to reports of a fight in the street involving a group of men.
They detained three men, aged 19, 21 and 31, on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. They remain in custody, Northamptonshire Police said.
Part of Gold Street, a busy shopping area, was closed while investigations took place.
The police are appealing for witnesses.
