Man, 83, dies two days after being struck by car in Bebington

A pedestrian who was hit by a car in a town has died days after the crash.
The 83-year-old man was struck in Bebington, Wirral, at the junction of Teehey Lane and Roland Avenue, at 19:40 GMT on Monday.
He was taken to hospital with a serious head injury and died on Wednesday.
A man, 23, from Tranmere, who was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
A black BMW 1 Series was later recovered from Sandymount Drive in Bebington, Merseyside Police said.
The force appealed to anyone with dashcam footage of the car or any other information to come forward.
Det Sgt Simon Duffy said: "Our condolences go out to the family of the man, and we will continue to support them as our investigation continues.
"We're still appealing to anyone who saw the BMW between Teehey Lane and Sandymount Drive to contact us as soon as possible."
