Police have been granted more time to question a man arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found at a house in Coventry.

The 68-year-old woman was found dead at a property in Cavendish Road, Tile Hill, at 20:45 GMT on Friday.

A 46-year-old man, believed to be her son, was arrested at the address and remains in custody.

West Midlands Police said on Sunday the force had been given an extension until late on Monday to question him.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place.
