A water company has been praised by an industry watchdog for investing 拢70m in infrastructure.
The Consumer Council for Water (CCWater) said Anglian Water (AW) showed a willingness to reward customers and not just shareholders.
AW are setting aside 拢70m to provide for customer debts, leaks and drought.
"This is something we have been urging water companies across the country to do," Bernard Crump, central and eastern chair for CCWater, said.
Money will also go into paying for repair and maintenance to sewer connections, leak detection and resilience to drought conditions.
The company provides water and sewage services in Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
