Fast and Furious star Gal Gadot is to play Wonder Woman in the upcoming Superman sequel.
The film, which doesn't yet have a title, will be the sequel to 2013's Man Of Steel and will see the superhero face his DC Comics counterpart, Batman.
The Israeli actress' part was confirmed by Warner Brothers on Facebook.
It marks the first time Wonder Woman has ever appeared in a major Hollywood blockbuster.
The character, who's also known as Diana Prince, is perhaps best known for her 1970s TV series featuring Lynda Carter.
Speaking about the latest casting, director Zac Snyder said: "Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favourite in the DC Universe."
28 year old Gal Gadot has featured in the three of the six Fast & Furious movies.
She's also a past winner of the Miss Israel title.
"Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role." said Snyder.
"We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character."
Man Of Steel saw Zac Snyder take the Superman franchise back to its start and featured British actor Henry Cavill in the title role.
It has been a financial success, taking more than $660-million at the worldwide box office.
Cavill will reprise his role as Superman, with Ben Affleck starring as Batman.
The sequel will also reunite Man Of Steel stars Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Diane Lane (Martha Kent).
It's scheduled for release sometime in 2015.
Batman and Superman are part of DC Comics universe, which in turn is part of the Warner Bros Entertainment division.
