Revered 1990s indie-rock band Pavement have announced details of their reunion.
The Californian five-piece - Mark Ibold, Scott Kannberg, Stephen Malkmus, Bob Nastanovich and Steve West – will play together live again after an 11-year absence.
Their first confirmed appearance is scheduled to be at Rumsey Playfield, Central Park, New York on September 21, 2010.
A statement from the band's record label Domino said: "The band would like it to be known that the tour does not constitute a full-on permanent reformation."
Band background
Formed in Stockton, California in 1989, during their decade long career the band released five albums including 1995's Wowee Zowee and 1999's Terror Twilight.
Their final gig together was at London's Brixton Academy in November 1999.
Following their split, the band perused a number of other projects.
Lead singer Stephen Malkmus has released four solo albums, whilst founder member Scott 'Spiral Stairs' Kannberg has performed as part of Preston School Of Industry.
