Conservative Roger Hirst, who was first elected into the role in 2016, was re-elected as Essex's police, fire and crime commissioner in May.
Speaking at the time, Mr Hirst said: "[I am] obviously delighted to have been returned again as the police and crime commissioner for Essex.
"I think the results show the public of Essex have confidence in what we are doing to get crime down and keep the community safe."
