    • Norfolk Constabulary was established in November 1839 and was briefly named Norfolk Joint Police from 1968 to 1974
    • Government figures showed there was 1,899 full time police officers in the force in September 2023 - compared with 1,549 in September 2013
    • In 2018 it became the first force in the country to scrap all 150 of its police community support officers
    • Chief Constable Paul Sanford joined Norfolk Police in 1999 starting as a response officer in Sprowston before moving into his current role in December 2021
    • Police crime data shows the recorded crime (excluding fraud) in Norfolk had decreased in the 12-month period to March 2024 by 11.6%
    • In June 2024, 88.5% of 999 calls answered by the force were answered in under 10 seconds
    • In May 2024, the force was the seventh best force in the country for answering 999 calls in under 10 seconds
