The home of reality TV star Charlotte Crosby has been broken into.

Her fiance Jake Ankers said on social media they had been the target of an attempted burglary while they were home with their two-year-old daughter.

Durham Police confirmed reports of a burglary at an address in Houghton-le-Spring, Sunderland, at 19:00 GMT on Thursday.

A spokesperson for the force said the suspects had left the scene before police arrived, but no-one had been injured and no items were believed to have been taken.

Crosby was one of cast members of Geordie Shore and recently starred in 91Èȱ¬ Three show Charlotte in Sunderland.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
