Capacity at an Oxford park and ride site will be cut by more than half while resurfacing and drainage improvements are completed.

Thornhill Park and Ride, in London Road, usually has 1,335 spaces but that will be cut to about 600 when work starts on Saturday.

The work is expected to be finished by 1 October.

Oxfordshire County Council, which owns and runs the site, said bus stops for Oxford's hospitals and the city centre will be moved to its main car park.

That means only disabled parking will be available in Thornhill's main car park space.

The terminal building and its facilities will stay open throughout the works.

Updates will be shown on electronic display boards on approach roads to the city.

Oxford has which will be unaffected during the works at Thornhill.
