Investigation begins after man dies in house fire

A man has died in a house fire in south-east London.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) said part of a loft conversion in the two-storey mid-terraced house was destroyed in the blaze on Kent Avenue, Welling, at 17:50 BST on Monday.
The man died at the scene, the brigade said.
LFB said the cause of the fire was under investigation by the Metropolitan Police and the brigade.
