Just one fire engine is now dealing with the remnants of a blaze that took hold of a former school.
Fire fighters said they were "damping down" - a process of putting out remaining hot spots.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said several crews were sent to tackle the fire at old Gorseinon School, Pontardulais Road, in Gorseinon, Swansea, this evening.
Residents and businesses affected by smoke were advised to "stay indoors, close windows and doors, and turn off any air conditioning or ventilation units" with anyone travelling through the area told to take precautions.
The fire service said it will now begin to investigate the cause of the fire.
