Police raided properties in Burslem, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Norton

Four people have been arrested after police found drugs with a street value of £40,000 in Staffordshire.

Officers made the discovery as they raided properties in Burslem, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Norton Heights on Tuesday morning.

They found two kilograms of heroin and crack cocaine, along with £20,000 in cash and several mobile phones containing information on drug deals.

Three men from Stoke-on-Trent, aged 20, 25 and 33, and a 20-year-old woman from Newcastle-under-Lyme were arrested on suspicion of drug offences.

The three men remain in custody and the woman has been released under investigation.
