Plan to refurbish States offices in St Peter Port
- Published
The States of Guernsey is planning to refurbish one of its main office buildings in St Peter Port.
The work would see improvements to the north and east wings of Sir Charles Frossard House on La Charotterie, the States said.
It is a key site for States employees, with more staff now based there after the closure of other offices.
The States Property Unit (SPU) said the work would help with recruitment and retention, as well as making active travel easier.
The office block was built during the early 1990s and first opened its doors in January 1993.
In recent years a number of States properties have been vacated, with staff relocated to Frossard House and Edward T Wheadon House.
A spokesperson for SPU said the project at Sir Charles Frossard House was in its early stages, but a tender for architectural and interior designers has been published online.
